Junior Olympic Cross Country Coaching Staff
NORTH TEAM-Meets at TCA North Campus
Head Coach, Melanie Brim has been a runner all her life and loves running in the local Pikes Peak RoadRunners events with her four children and finishes in the top 5 for her age group consistently. In 2009, she won the silver medal at the State Games of America and in 2012, won the gold medal at the Rocky Mountain State Games 5k and set a new course record for her age group as well as setting the 1500m course record for her age group in 2016. Her favorite competitions are the Boulder/Bolder 10k and the Garden of the Gods 10 miler. Over the last 10 years, Melanie has been a volunteer, assistant coach and as of 2012, Head Coach of the TCA Junior High Cross Country Team which won the Innagural State Cross Country Championship in 2011.
She is USATF Level 1 certified and has coached the Landsharks Running Club at TCA North for several years. Sharing her passion for running comes very easy for her and all of her children have competed at various levels including the USATF and AAU. She is eagerly anticipating the opportunity to inspire and motivate our upcoming Junior Olympic Athletes of 2016.

CENTRAL TEAM-Meets at Monument Valley Park
Leading the charge for the Central Team (that will meet in Monument Valley Park) is none other than Seef LeRoux (otherwise known as Eric and Aiden's dad!) Though a bio will be forwarded shortly, Seef is a former Olympic Runner and former Assistant Landshark JO Coach. Aiden and Erik will also be returning after a fantastic Summer and Fall Season!
Coach Seef, was born and raised in South Africa and came to the US to compete fro Western State College in Gunnison. While there, he graduated with a degree in accounting, became an American citizen and got married to his college sweetheart all while maintaining an elite running status in the racing world. Seef has qualified for many national and world events ranging from the 1500m on the track to dualthlon championships. He has a family of 3 boys, all that love to run and 2 that have been Landsharks as long as they can remember. His wife was a nationally ranked runner as well...Landsharks and running is definitely in the genes!
Assisting Coach Seef will be Coach Eva Hagen, amongst her amazing running career, she was most recently the Running Coach for the US Olympic Modern Day Pentathlon Team!
Eva Hagen grew up near Salzburg Austria and spent much of her childhood mostly outdoors, skiing, running and hiking various Alpine Peaks.
Eva was the assistant women’s cross country coach at West Point, in the past she worked with the World Class Athletes Program, coaching a number of Pentathletes trying to qualify for the Olympics. For the past 5 years Eva has been the head coach of the Landsharks’ program at Rockrimmon elementary school. Eva takes great pride in coaching young athletes and instilling in them a love for running and competition. She very much enjoys the opportunity to share her knowledge and coaching experience with athletes of all levels.
Eva competes in various mountain running events as well as road races. She is also a very competitive ski mountaineering racer.
